Plaza de la Reina

Plaza de
la Reina
is a charming old public square located behind the Cathedral and the
Santa Catalina
bell tower. It is always bustling and makes a great place to take a break before starting your trip around the old city of
Valencia
(Ciutat Vella) as it is lined with benches and cafes with terraces. There is a small green area at the centre of the square and horse drawn carriages pass by offering their services. If you are a fan of horchata, you can’t miss the two-hundred-year-old cafe called
La Horchateria
de
Santa Catalina
located on the square selling this delicious drink made from tiger nuts.
